Black Mountain Feed tops ranch rodeo
Team earns $2,500 and bragging rights
February 13, 2010 – Ten teams of real ranch cowboys pooled their skills Jan. 30 in front of nearly 1,000 fun-loving fans at the Wickenburg Ranch Rodeo.
Experienced hands from Black Mountain Feed took the overall bragging rights home to Cave Creek, Ariz., after compiling more points throughout four individual events than any other. But honors were spread around in the cowboys’ different specialties.
Matt Sheiw made a spectacular 85-point showing in the Wild Horse Ride for the Spear X Ranch and helped his team sweep the Wild Cow Milking, too. The team penning was won by the M Diamond Ranch in less than one minute, while the Gillum Ranch won the double-tough double mugging in just 35.28 seconds.

Double Mugging: 1. Gillum Ranch, 35.28 seconds; 2. Black Mountain Feed, 40.41; 3. Four Z Ranch, 43.53.
Team Penning: 1. M Diamond Ranch, 53.19 seconds; 2. B Spear Ranch, 111.94; 3. Gillum Ranch, 113.94.
Wild Cow Milking: 1. Spear X, 31.50 seconds; 2. Comancheros, 34.97; 3. M Diamond Ranch, 37.28.
